About Me.

If it wouldn't have caused serious health issues to my mother, I would have been born holding a paintbrush. That was graphic, I’m sorry. 

I've had a deep love for creating my entire life. My name is Kavya, which means "Poetry" in Hindi. Either my parents knew, or got really lucky (If my name meant “Astronaut” I might have fallen a little short). I, like any human, contain multitudes that are often contradictory. When I split the difference, I make the things you see on this site (and much more)(like, so much more- it’s become a hazard).

I explore the infinite combinations of mixed media in Abstract Expressionism, Collage, and Assemblage, in the hopes that I might find it to be finite after all, realize my true passion is really in Accounting, and get a respectable job my grandma will understand. 

So far, that hasn’t happened. And I have had the time of my life digging though the mountains of possibilities I find inside art. 

I believe that art doesn’t have a checklist or a “right answer.” I believe in the philosophy that art is meant to be shared and enjoyed freely. I want my art to be accessible and interactive. I hope you look away feeling safe enough to feel as delighted, amused, confused, indignant, overjoyed, or unimpressed as you’d like. Honest.

Think of this website as my personal attempt to shout into the void that is the internet, and for whatever reason, I am very glad you heard me.
